He proved his versatility long ago, at the latest with the maritime redesign of the Range Rover. Following his foray into the automotive industry, the extremely successful yacht designer Andrew Winch has now taken on a watch. The Winch office, founded in 1986, has now designed the "Classis" watch, based on the Latin word for "fleet", for the traditional English chronometer manufacturer Thomas Mercer, which was founded in 1858. Winch's maritime roots are hard to miss: The steel "Classis", engraved and gold-plated according to the owner's wishes, resembles - a Winch. Height: ten centimetres.
