While the French produce boats from 5 metres in length and have a wide variety of different models, Absolute only starts at 12 metres and builds up to a maximum of 22 metres.
In terms of overall length, the Absolute 42 is one foot shorter than the Monte Carlo 42 according to the brochure, but it is 4 cm wider.
Another special feature: Absolute includes the large bathing platform - without this, it is 92 cm shorter than the Monte Carlo. If you look at the layout of both boats, there is not much difference: there is a separate cabin with a queen-size berth in the foredecks.
While the separate bathroom and toilet in the Absolute are only accessible from the forward cabin, the same unit on the Monte Carlo between the forward cabin and galley has been designed as a day bathroom.
The designers have arranged a dinette to starboard, which can be converted into an emergency berth on the Monte Carlo in future, and a galley opposite, which is more transverse on the Bénéteau and longitudinal on the Absolute.
