Dan Lenard announced in November that he wanted to cross the Atlantic single-handed.
The co-founder of the design studio Nuvolari Lenard wants to set off from Cádiz in January with a Vela 33, "an ecological sailing boat that takes sailing back to its roots", as Lenard emphasises. The yacht designer therefore wants to do without GPS, autopilot and engine for the planned 4800 miles. He wants to finish the transatlantic tour in Miami in February for the Boat Show. Lenard likes pure sailing. "Sailing is the only sustainable way for transport on the water."
