Anyone heading west to our Dutch neighbours should take a look at the Netherlands sailing area update from page 56. Our Holland correspondent Alex Worms has summarised what touring skippers and charterers need to know. And travel author Bodo Müller describes a trip from Friesland to Amsterdam on an electric boat.
The third part of our boating practice series is recommended for beginners. After the information on documents, driving licences and tips on buying a boat in the two previous issues, this time it's all about tips and tricks for mooring and casting off and how to avoid awkward situations as far as possible. From page 36 onwards, we also show beginners the easiest way to launch a wakeboard from behind the boat.
If you are more interested in accessories and equipment, you will find what you are looking for from page 78 onwards. Among other things, it deals with gas systems on boats and what you need to bear in mind when installing them. Mobile tracking systems for outboards and equipment as well as an overview of the different types of fenders round off the topics in this issue.
