For a long time, HanseYachts AG had kept its third motorboat brand a secret. Now the Greifswald-based company has unveiled the new RYCK 280, a sporty and trailerable weekender with a large cockpit, powerful engines and a spacious, bright cabin.
The name RYCK is based on the river of the same name, which flows through Greifswald and connects the main production site of HanseYachts AG to the Baltic Sea. However, thanks to the stepped hull, the new boat is anything but a pure river boat, but has been developed for the best rough water characteristics, according to the shipyard. With its negative stem, it joins the new design era and makes a very appealing impression with its modern and sporty lines. The boat was developed by HanseYachts in collaboration with yacht designer Bill Dixon.
The cockpit offers plenty of space, a glass bridge dashboard with two 12-inch plotters, an L-shaped bench seat, table, fridges and even a wet bar. Below deck in the bright cabin there is a double cabin and a spacious WC. The RYCK 280 is motorised with Mercury Verado outboards with 250 to 350 hp. However, just like the choice of engine, many of the equipment details on Hanse's new boat can be flexibly selected. With the newly developed 3D configurator all equipment variants of the RYCK 280 can be playfully discovered and customised.
"Our customers can look forward to a true all-rounder with an outstanding design that will enrich the motorboat industry," says Product Manager Andrea Zambonini, "The RYCK 280 is easy to manoeuvre and can also be trailered, making it a flexible weekender in areas near and far."
