With an overall length of 18.9 metres and a beam of 8.6 metres, the BC60 is designed as a displacement vessel. This aluminium vessel is robust and offers the same range as Bering’s steel monohull boats. Yet its draught is just 1.58 metres.
“We have transferred the DNA of the B72 and the B88 – range, reliability and smooth running – to a Kat platform. However, the 60 is not a leisure craft, but a displacement yacht designed for voyages of discovery,” says Alexei Mikhailov of Bering Yachts
On the main deck there is a large saloon with a helm station and galley. One hull houses the owner’s suite, where there is ample space to walk around the bed. Panoramic windows provide plenty of light. There is a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom with a shower. The other hull houses two guest cabins. A crew cabin, washroom and storeroom are also provided, as well as storage and refrigeration space.
The aluminium construction and the resulting weight distribution make it possible to have an enclosed flybridge. Fitted with a bar, refrigeration units and a day toilet, the space can be used as a lounge, gym or office.
The engine room spans two levels and houses generators, water treatment units and a sewage treatment plant. All the systems operate very quietly; noise and vibrations are barely noticeable to the guests. At cruising speed, the vessel is quiet – a point that Mikhailov repeatedly emphasises.
The first vessel is available for viewings and test sailings in Antalya. Four further hulls are currently under construction. Anyone interested should contact sales@beringyachts.com
