The Revolution Marine Group presents the Canados Heritage 67': The catamaran is built in Italy, but has many features that are important for the American market. With a length of 20.29 metres, the Heritage 67' is the largest model in the range and is available in two versions. The coupe version is sporty and flat and is aimed at owners who prefer a dynamic appearance. The second version offers an additional driving position on the flybridge and a large area for guests with good all-round visibility. Both versions have the same hull construction and propulsion system. The Italian naval architect Francesco Struglia developed the design. The wide design with a width of 6.10 metres creates plenty of space on board, but remains narrow enough for most berths.
Two MAN V8 engines with 1,200 hp each power the catamaran via tunnel drives. This protects the drive components and reduces the draught. According to the manufacturer, the Heritage 67' reaches a cruising speed of 30 knots, with a top speed of 37 knots. The diesel tank holds 5,000 litres and the fresh water tank 800 litres. There is a 600 litre storage capacity for waste water and grey water. At half load, the draught is 1.60 metres.
The catamaran design distributes the rooms over two hulls. This creates separate areas that offer more privacy than monohulls of comparable length. The shipyard utilises the width between the hulls for the saloon and cockpit area. According to the manufacturer, the distance between the two sides of the hull ensures stability when sailing and in the harbour. The moderate width compared to even wider catamarans makes mooring in marinas easier. The Revolution Marine Group emphasises that the boat is suitable for owners without a crew as well as for operation with a professional crew.
The Heritage 67' is the second model in the Heritage line to be sold by the Revolution Marine Group in North and South America. The company had previously launched the smaller Heritage 36' in the USA. With the 67', the group is expanding its range upwards. Darren Henn, Sales Manager at the Revolution Marine Group, explains that the boat demonstrates the development of modern power catamarans. It combines Italian craftsmanship with speed and efficiency. The company is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and has a branch office in Vienna.
