With the Sunreef Ultima 88, football superstar Lionel Messi is expanding his MIM Ocean fleet. The catamaran is currently being built at the manufacturer’s facilities in the United Arab Emirates.
Footballer Robert Lewandowski has one of the tennis stars Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz too. Now Lionel (“Leo”) Messi is following in their footsteps – or rather, in their wake. Messi has joined the House of Sunreef and commissioned an Ultima 88. This means that one of the world’s most famous sportsmen is adding to his charter fleet, MIM Ocean, based in the Balearic Islands a 28-metre yacht.
Life on board unfolds across almost 490 square metres of living space. Friends and family can retreat to four guest cabins. The master suite, which spans the entire width of the yacht, offers a particularly peaceful retreat. Sunreef Yachts’ signature Ocean Lounge brings life closer to the water. For swimming, water sports and relaxing whilst enjoying an unobstructed view of the ocean.
A jet ski garage ensures that your equipment is always to hand. Spacious outdoor decks and a vast flybridge deck provide plenty of space for leisure, fitness and family time in the open air. With its sleek design and two 735-kilowatt engines, Leo Messi’s Ultima 88 promises an ideal combination of speed and manoeuvrability.
For Sunreef founder and CEO Francis Lapp, Leo Messi’s induction into the House of Sunreef reflects a shared understanding of luxury:
“At Sunreef Yachts, we believe that true luxury is the freedom to choose how you spend your time. With the people who matter most to you. The sea gives us this freedom in its purest form. We are incredibly proud to welcome Leo Messi and his family to the House of Sunreef.”
“It’s a real pleasure to become part of the Sunreef family. My family and I have always loved spending time at sea whenever we’ve had the chance. Sunreef Yachts have the style and features that I really like. And they’re exactly what I’m looking for.”
