Makai Yachts is expanding its model range with the M42 Cruiser, which will be available from autumn next year. This model builds on the success of the M37, which was nominated for the prestigious European Powerboat of the Year 2025 and Multihull of the Year 2025.

The M42 Cruiser is a new development from Makai Yachts, designed to combine comfort, functionality and high performance. The enclosed saloon area provides a comfortable environment in all weathers and can be optionally equipped with air conditioning and heating. The space is complemented by a generous galley equipped with a 130-litre refrigerator, a 50-litre freezer, a two-burner cooker, an optional microwave and plenty of storage space for longer stays.

Now also with flybridge

The model is available both in a sedan version and with a flybridge. The flybridge offers a 360° all-round view and can be fitted with an optional T-top to provide additional protection from the sun. A large hydraulic bathing platform, which can be used as a tender lift, facilitates access to the water or the transport of a dinghy.

A technical highlight of the M42 is the optional Foil Assist technology, which is designed to lift the hull out of the water at higher speeds. This reduces drag and improves fuel efficiency. Yanmar 8LV370hp engines are available as standard for the drive technology. Optionally, larger engines or a surface drive can be selected, which enable even higher performance.

The Makai M42 catamaran follows the M37a model that, according to the shipyard, has already successfully established itself on the market. Five units of the M37 have been ordered, the first of which has already been launched. Deliveries will be made to customers in Europe and the USA, both to dealers and private buyers.
