The two renowned French shipyards - Fountaine Pajot and Couach Catamarans - are developing a new line of luxury power catamarans under the name VEYA Yachts. The first model in this collaboration is the VEYA 53, which is scheduled to be launched in 2026. The VEYA Yachts brand was unveiled at the 2025 Miami boat show.

Spacious catamaran with a sophisticated design

The VEYA 53 is a 16.10 metre power catamaran (53 feet) that focuses on comfort and functionality. With a width of 7.96 metres, the concept offers generous deck areas and intelligently designed interior spaces. Particular attention was paid to a tidy design without superfluous elements.

Advanced technologies should be integrated unobtrusively on board. The aim is to provide the skippers with uncomplicated handling without overwhelming them with technology. The controls and navigation have been designed to be intuitive to operate. Inside, the VEYA 53 offers several cabins and lounge areas. Large windows are designed to provide plenty of natural light. The interior is described as elegant and functional, with high-quality materials.

Technical details and performance

The VEYA 53 is equipped with two Yanmar 6LY 440 engines with 440 hp each as standard. More powerful Yanmar 6LF 550 engines with 550 hp each are available as an option. The unladen weight is 27,300 kg, fully loaded the catamaran weighs 35,000 kg. The fuel tank has a capacity of 2x 1000 litres, which can be optionally extended by 2x 400 litres. 700 litres are available for fresh water and the hot water tank holds 80 litres. A 250-litre waste water tank is standard, and a grey water tank with 2x 175 litres can be installed as an option.
