The Turkish boat builder Visionf Yachts is expanding its portfolio with a fully electric catamaran.

According to the shipyard, the 24 metre long E-Cat 80 should have an unlimited range under optimal conditions. The hull is made of carbon fibre, which saves weight and in turn increases efficiency. Two Danfoss electric motors, each with a continuous output of 180 kW (peak output 340 kW), power the catamaran. Visionf specifies a top speed of 16 knots.

Easy to manoeuvre

Thanks to the twin engines and bow and stern thrusters, the catamaran is easy to manoeuvre. The energy supply is provided by 54 solar modules on the roof, which generate up to 21.6 kW per hour. Two 150 kW generators serve as a backup, supplying additional power if required.

With a width of 10.92 metres, the E-Cat 80 offers plenty of space on and below deck. Up to twelve guests can be accommodated in the cabins, while separate cabins are provided for the crew. According to the shipyard, the layout can be customised and is suitable both as a charter version and as an owner's version. There is a huge storage space in the stern garage for all kinds of water toys, such as sea scooters, dinghies or diving equipment - making it ideal for discovery tours. www.visionf.com
