With top speeds of up to 50 knots, emission-free propulsion and thrilling head-to-head races, the E1 series provides electrifying action on the water - and sets an example for sustainable mobility. Team Brady, led by NFL legend Tom Brady, triumphed at the first E1 Grand Prix in Monaco in July 2024. The team prevailed with experienced drivers Sam Coleman and Emma Kimiläinen and was crowned the first Monaco champion in E1 history. In a thrilling final race, the team gave the competition no chance - a historic moment for the young racing series.
The race in Monaco in 2025 also promises to be highly exciting - and not just because of the spectacular backdrop. The E1 World Championship is in the decisive phase: there are only three races left and the standings are tight. Team Rafa, supported by Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal, currently leads the overall standings just ahead of Team Aoki, the team of well-known DJ Steve Aoki. Only seven points separate the two teams. A victory in Monaco could decide the title race.
The sporting programme begins on Friday with the qualifying sessions. The fastest lap not only earns the respective team pole position, but also an important bonus point. The semi-finals, a so-called "Last Chance Qualifier" and finally the grand final follow on Saturday 19 July - broadcast live on DAZN and in over 140 countries worldwide.
The "E1 Acceleration Festival" will once again take place around the race. In addition to entertainment and hospitality, maritime start-ups promoting innovative solutions for clean oceans will also be presented. The event will also mark the 20th anniversary of Prince Albert II, who has been committed to marine conservation for many years.
The E1 series is more than just motorsport - it is a statement for the future. With all-electric drives, whisper-quiet high speeds and visionary technology partners, the series shows how spectacular and environmentally friendly water sports can be. Monaco offers the perfect stage for this: glamour meets sustainability, prestige meets innovation.
