Mirava is presenting the M800E . The Chinese brand’s new flagship is billed as a ‘smart boat’ and is set to fundamentally rethink the way electric boats are used. The concept combines electric propulsion technology with intelligent assistance systems and a versatile design.
Mirava was founded in Shenzhen, a hub of China’s technology and innovation industry. The development of the M800E brings together Chinese manufacturing expertise and Italian-inspired design. The focus is not solely on the boat as a vessel, but on the time people spend on board.
The M800E has a modular design and can be adapted to suit a variety of water-based activities. The layout is designed to provide space for group outings, swimming, fishing, water sports or relaxing at anchor.
Depending on the configuration, the boat can offer greater freedom of movement, more places to retreat to, or additional storage space. Mirava describes the concept as a boat that is more people-centred than based on traditional technical structures. One special feature is the lounge with a hammock, which invites you to relax whilst taking a break on the water.
The design also includes a detachable dinghy. It extends the range of operations and can be used for short trips, for going ashore or for activities near the shore.
The M800E’s technology is designed to work in the background and simplify operation. The announced features include:
The M800E is therefore designed to be easy to use even when users do not wish to focus on the controls at all times. Mirava refers to ‘connected control’ and technology that integrates as unobtrusively as possible into the driving experience.
The M800E is powered entirely by electricity. With this model, Mirava is aiming to offer a quiet and emission-free form of recreational boating. The brand particularly emphasises its quiet operation and the opportunity to experience the surroundings without engine noise.
With the M800E, the aim is to Mirava show what a modern electric boat might look like – one that not only serves as a means of transport but can also be flexibly adapted to different experiences. The presentation in Cannes marks the model’s first major public appearance.
