The interior was created by the Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) design team together with the owner. Twelve guests sleep in five cabins, with a crew of seven. The master suite on the forward main deck benefits from the elimination of the side decks and makes use of almost the entire hull width of 7.80 metres. Hydro Tec carried out both the structural calculations and the design considerations for the exterior for the Ancona shipyard. Even though Sergio Cutolo and his team gave the Acciaio 123 the appearance of a Navetta in terms of style, the performance figures speak in favour of an explorer with "passage maker" qualities. At a speed of ten knots, it can travel 5500 nautical miles without refuelling. With two Caterpillar diesel gensets, each with 533 kilowatts of power, the 320-tonne displacement vessel can reach a maximum of 13 knots and a high level of fuel economy.
