After an eight-month refit, Damen handed over the "Game Changer" to its new owner in Gorinchem in the Netherlands. He wants to take the 69 metres on a trip around the world in the service of research.

Although "Game Changer" is based on Damen's largest supply platform 6911, it is intended to be used as an independent yacht for expeditions - and, thanks to Polar Code certification, will be able to venture into the Arctic or Antarctic. The stay at the shipyard turned the 69.15 metre long displacer into a floating diving centre. Moondog Diving installed a Trimax-capable diving centre, which provides a mixture of oxygen, nitrogen and helium for technical diving at great depths. The crew will load an open tender and landing craft amidships alongside a U-Boat Worx submersible and a Saab diving robot. Both can penetrate to depths of up to 1100 metres. Three cross machines from KTM are available for landing expeditions. The front car park deck lifts Damen up and directly behind the bridge. Three RIBs are available here. An Airbus H130 T2 lands on the heliport and descends to the hangar one deck below for protection and refuelling. To ensure that no research experience goes undocumented, the helicopter delivers 8k video recordings via a Shotover camera position with six-fold gyro stabilisation.
