AB Yachts launched the first AB 95S in Viareggio in March 2026. The sports version of the AB 95 reaches a top speed of over 53 knots in the fast-lap configuration. Three MAN V12X-2200 engines, each with 2,200 hp, deliver a total of 6,600 hp. The yacht weighs around 93 tonnes. The hull and deck are made of composite material with a high carbon fibre content. After the first test runs, the final outfitting work will follow. Delivery to the owner is planned for April 2026. The AB 95S differs from the standard version with sportier lines and a wraparound windscreen that emphasises its racing character.
Main deck with beach area
The main deck forms a continuous space. Large glass surfaces and the all-round windscreen provide an unobstructed view of the horizon. The opening roof enhances the open-air feeling during the journey. The cockpit area connects seamlessly with the interior saloon. Aft there is a fully equipped beach area close to the water. The ergonomics and advanced instrumentation at the helm station enable precise control even at high speeds. The materials used include insulated panels, leather and suede, which reduce the noise level below deck.
The lower deck houses the sleeping area. Depending on the configuration, there is space for up to eight guests. The owner's suite extends across the full width. Italian design meets functional solutions for life on board. A separate crew area ensures efficient operation and discretion during the voyage.
Drive and performance
The AB 95S is one of the first yachts on the market with MAN V12X-2200 engines. The powerhouse with a total of 6,600 hp drives the yacht via two controllable MJP water jets and a central MJP booster. In this configuration, the yacht reaches a top speed of a good 53 knots (fast lap). Acceleration is fast and progressive. Manoeuvrability and control remain good even at higher speeds. Vibration and noise values are at a low level; a size 26 Seakeeper stabilises the yacht.
