The Absolute Navetta 58 measures 17.60 metres in length and 5.16 metres in width and is being built by the Absolute shipyard in Piacenza, northern Italy. A spacious vessel, plenty of light and room for a family wishing to live on board for extended periods are just some of the features the boat is designed to offer.
The moment you step on board, you immediately notice just how spacious the Navetta 58 is. Wide steps at the stern, plenty of seating and an open-plan living layout are just some of the key features of the Absolute. From the stern, you board via the hydraulic swim platform, which, according to the shipyard, can support up to 400 kilograms and comfortably lowers tenders and swimmers into the water, optionally using the integrated automatic ladder. Two staircases on either side lead up to the cockpit.
It is spacious and open-plan, with no fixed furniture. This offers flexibility, as the modular sofas can be easily rearranged. On both sides, stainless steel and glass doors lead into the interior. Towards the stern, a glazed bulwark encloses the cockpit. The centrepiece is a height-adjustable table that can be moved and, depending on its height, serves as either a side table or a dining table.
A wide walkway, well protected by the high freeboard, leads forward across the partly covered side decks. On the foredeck, there is a spacious area for lounging, featuring a U-shaped sofa with sun lounger cushions that can be arranged to accommodate several people. Back in the deckhouse, the helm station on the main deck benefits above all from the abundance of natural light streaming in through the windows. The view to the bow and to the side is excellent, whilst the large panoramic window, which slopes down at the lower corners, allows plenty of daylight to flood in. Towards the stern, however, the view is somewhat obstructed: the wooden panelling behind the helm separates the skipper from the saloon and blocks the view towards the stern. Anyone manoeuvring the boat themselves whilst wishing to remain close to the crew will find they lack a clear overview here.
That said, the seats are very comfortable. The driver’s seats can be adjusted continuously for height and length using a joystick. This means everyone can quickly find the right position for them. The displays and controls are within easy reach, there is an inductive charging pad, and a second seat can be fitted next to the driver’s if required. Handy: there’s space for storage under the seats – and, if required, even for a wine cooler.
A few steps further on is the living area. Large side windows flood the saloon with light, whilst the oak wood has a warm feel and is beautifully finished. On the port side is the galley, featuring a four-zone induction hob, a combi oven and a fridge-freezer unit. On the starboard side, a wide sliding door opens onto the side deck, allowing air into the saloon. When the sliding doors leading to the cockpit are also open, the crew enjoy a pleasant draught on board. A flight of stairs leads up to the flybridge. It is equipped with a wet bar with a barbecue, a further fridge-freezer unit complete with an ice maker, a second helm station, an L-shaped sofa dining area and sun loungers. The hardtop is available with solar panels or a section that can be opened. Here, too, the materials are of the highest quality.
The additional control station is comfortable to use and, thanks to the front windscreen, provides a clear view of the road ahead whilst also offering sufficient protection from the wind and weather.
By way of comparison: the Review of the Absolute 47 Fly examines the layout, flybridge, wet bar and cabins of an Absolute motor yacht.
Two decks below, on the lower deck, Absolute has arranged three cabins. The owner’s cabin spans the full width of the bow and features a double bed measuring 1.70 by 2.00 metres. Storage compartments are located beneath it, and in the adjoining room there is a dressing room, which gains additional headroom thanks to a step in the deck. The adjoining bathroom offers ample storage space and a spacious, separate shower. Aft of this is the VIP cabin, which also spans the full width of the vessel, featuring a bed of the same size, an en-suite bathroom and a mirror cabinet. Amidships on the starboard side are two single berths, each measuring just 1.85 by 0.68 metres, which can be electrically pushed together to form a double berth if required. Headroom in the cabins averages 1.93 metres.
The test boat also featured the optional fourth cabin at the very stern. This can only be accessed via the swim platform; there is no internal access. It serves as a crew cabin. For those who do not need the cabin, this space can alternatively be used as a large storage area.

The Navetta 58 is a semi-planing boat designed for families who want to spend plenty of time on board. It offers plenty of space and a bright interior, maintains a steady course and is surprisingly manoeuvrable. The only criticism is the view to the stern from the helm. All in all, a very successful boat from Absolute.
