Damen Yachting launched "Project Zurich", the third unit in the Amels 80 Limited Edition series, in Vlissingen-East on 2 March 2026. The 80-metre superyacht is now leaving the shipyard's second production facility and will be transferred to the main site in Vlissingen City. The final outfitting phase will begin there, with delivery planned for later this year. The shipyard is currently working simultaneously on two units of the Amels 80 in the final outfitting phase, while the first unit has already been handed over to the owner. "The launch of our third Amels 80 marks an important milestone for everyone involved. Yachts of this size require careful planning, craftsmanship and close coordination between our teams and the owner's representative," explains Sander Peeters, Project Manager at Damen Yachtin
At the rear of the main deck is a 6.5-metre-long pool with a glass floor, which also serves as a skylight for the beach club below. The beach club opens onto the water on three sides and integrates a complete wellness and spa area. Facilities include a fitness room, a hammam and a sauna. The sun deck has a generously sized whirlpool. The yacht can accommodate 14 guests in seven suites as well as 20 crew members and a captain. The exterior design was created by Espen Øino International.
"Project Zurich" has been in Vlissingen since January 2025 and is now moored at the quay of the Dutch shipyard for the first time. As the third yacht in the Amels 80 series, she demonstrates the Limited Editions concept. This combines customisation with a proven technical platform. The Limited Editions series promises shorter construction times while at the same time being personalised according to the owner's wishes. For fully customised projects, the Amels Full Custom Division offers separate solutions.
