Construction work at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre will require a revised hall layout for the next two years, as Hall 9 is being modernised and will not be available again for another two years.
Exhibitors with RIBs (inflatable boats) and dinghies/tenders from Hall 9 will be moving to the new Motorboat Hall 17, where they will form part of the boot Motorboat Walk.
Surfing and paddling are moving to Hall 12, which, with its XXL pool and the ‘World of Paddling’, offers plenty of action and fun for everyone. Diving will once again be completely under one roof in Hall 13, whilst the Destination Boatlife segment in Hall 14 will showcase charter operators, houseboats and marinas for holidays by and on the water.
Despite the building work, visitors can still access Halls 10, 11 and 12 via the main north entrance to the exhibition centre without any difficulty. A wide, specially protected, covered walkway guides all visitors safely through Hall 9, which is currently undergoing refurbishment. The exhibition director, Petros Michelidakis, commented: “We are, of course, designing the passageway in the ‘boot’ style to make it attractive for our guests. With our new hall layout, this ensures a quick passageway both for those wishing to move from Halls 4 and 5 to the eastern halls and for visitors coming from the North Entrance.”
At boot Düsseldorf 2027, the Motorboat Walk begins in Hall 17 and leads from there via Hall 1 to Halls 3 and 4. In Hall 5, the Superboats follow on thematically, with the Superyachts in Hall 6 and the brokers and designers in Hall 7a.
Following the Motorboat Walk at boot, visitors can treat their eyes to some maritime art in Hall 7, offering a chance to relax and unwind.
The tour of boot 2027 continues via the new corridor in Hall 9 to the exhibition centre’s Technology Centre. Halls 10 and 11 feature a wide range of engines and engine technology from the most renowned international manufacturers, every piece of equipment and accessory a boat owner could wish for, refit information, as well as clothing and accessories.
In the adjoining Hall 14, under the theme ‘Destination & Boat Life’, the focus is on maritime destinations, boat charters, international marinas, houseboats and the services offered by numerous nautical organisations and associations. Here, water sports enthusiasts can relax and plan their holidays by or on the water.
In Hall 10, exhibiting shipyards are showcasing cutting-edge technologies from their development workshops. It is therefore a high-calibre platform that brings together visionaries, investors and politicians to ensure the maritime industry is fit for the future. With the ‘ocean tribute’ Award, boot Düsseldorf launched the first marine conservation prize at a trade fair eight years ago and has been providing an international stage for sustainable projects ever since.
