The total value of just under 65 million euros was realised by brokers from Asia, New York, Monaco and Palma de Mallorca. Among the "Christmas presents" were the 55.50 metre long support format "Time Off" from Damen Yachting and Vitters' pioneering 32.60 metre "Ribelle". The quartet was completed by the "Arete" (44 metres) and "Moon Sand Too", a 34-metre Lagoon Cruiser model from Feadship.
During pandemic times, Burgess has been very active in the sales and new build sector as more and more customers decide that now is the right time to buy a yacht. Burgess CEO Jonathan Beckett commented: "The last 13/14 months have been quite exceptional - with almost relentless demand in the sales market. Yachts have been selling at really good prices and the talk of 'COVID deals' has frankly been a myth."
