Spanish boat builder De Antonio Yachts announces the presentation of its new flagship for the Cannes Yachting Festival on. The D60 is characterised by its concealed outboard engines and its performance. The new motor yacht is manufactured in Poland, in the same factory where the series models E23, D29 and D32 are produced.
The D60 is manufactured using glass fibre infusion lamination and is further strengthened by carbon fibre reinforcements throughout the hull structure. The first unit will be equipped with four hidden Mercury V12 outboard engines, each producing 600 hp, while the standard configuration comes with four V10 engines, each producing 400 hp. Both options feature joystick control and offer an extremely low power-to-weight ratio: the 600 hp version has a ratio of 9.16 kg/hp.
The flagship is expected to reach a top speed of 48 knots at 6,200 rpm and the flexible cruising speed should be between 25 and 32 knots at around 4,000 rpm. The yacht promises an easy and agile driving experience. The D60 is said to accelerate from 0 to 45 knots in just 40 seconds.
Despite its outboard engine configuration and sporty performance, the D60 is also suitable for long-distance cruising. At a cruising speed of around 28 knots, it offers a range of over 300 nautical miles with a fuel consumption of 280 litres per hour. The De Antonio also has an efficient slow cruising mode at 10 knots, which enables almost 400 nautical miles without refuelling. In this mode, fuel consumption remains below 100 litres per hour, according to the shipyard.
The De Antonio D60 preserves the brand's design essence with clean, elegant and timeless lines and solutions that maximise the space on board. In the bow there is a large sofa with side tables and a generous sunbed that can optionally be converted into a Jacuzzi with integrated storage space. The stern has been designed to offer two separate areas: a dining area and a sunbed that merges into the bathing platform. The adjustable bathing platform facilitates access to the sea. A large storage compartment for the dinghy and other water sports equipment is located under the sunbed.
The centrally positioned helm station has three seats with 360-degree visibility and two 19-inch displays. It flows seamlessly into the aft lounge and dining area, which is equipped with sliding doors and electric side windows. Forward, it connects to the cabin access via the starboard side. At the stern is the master suite with a sofa and desk as well as a walk-in wardrobe and a full bathroom. In the bow, owners can choose between a double cabin with symmetrical single beds or a large cabin with a double bed. The many options available also include customised hull paintwork, deck coverings and exterior upholstery colours, as well as the option of adding a whirlpool in the bow area, choosing between two or three cabins, installing a hydraulic gangway or a stabiliser.
A guest bathroom to starboard and a fully equipped galley to port, located on an intermediate level between the main deck and the lower corridor, optimise the flow of movement and allow flexible use of the space. Wood, textiles and porcelain surfaces were chosen as interior components for the flagship. In the bow, with separate access from the deck, is the crew accommodation with two berths and a full bathroom. In the stern there is access to a technical room for the inspection and maintenance of the equipment.
The shipyard was founded in 2012 by Marc de Antonio and Stan Chmielewski. The production centres are located in Poland. By introducing hidden outboard engines on all models - and implementing concepts that improve efficiency, ease of use and performance, De Antonio Yachts has become a brand that says something to everyone. The company has now expanded internationally, with a presence on five continents and a wide network of exclusive dealers. The latest model introduced was the D29 at the boot Düsseldorf last January.
