Dynamiq, the Monegasque brand of Russian ex-broker Sergei Dobroserdov, presents the GTT 165, a slim 50-metre flagship. The strikingly high length-to-width ratio is less a question of style than of efficiency. The 8.50 metre narrow aluminium hull with a long waterline and round bilge was designed by Van Oossanen, who also contributed the Hull Vane underwater spoiler familiar from the GTT 115. Together with a T-foil from Naiad in the front third of the underwater hull, this is intended to generate buoyancy and increase speed. Two MTU eight-cylinder engines, each with 932 kilowatts of power, are sufficient to cross the Atlantic at 17 knots and reach a top speed of up to 20 knots. The GTS version can achieve five knots more thanks to a 100 per cent increase in power. In the online configurator, which displays a base price of 24,400,000 euros, there is also the option of a hybrid drive. Dynamiq CEO Sergei Dobroserdov was responsible for the styling. The layout is designed for a crew of nine and twelve guests, spread across five or six cabins. The forward area of the main deck is reserved for the owner. The first GTT 165 is scheduled to set sail in time for the 2021 Mediterranean season.
