The 109 metre long Oceanco project "Lumen" could become the first yacht to be adorned with a diamond coating. For the time being, however, only one model of the glitter yacht exists.
The patented Sun King technology has already made cars and aeroplanes sparkle. It was developed by the diamond experts at Jean Boulle Luxury together with the chemical giant Akzo Nobel, which contributed the expertise gained with Awlgrip Topcoat, among other things. "Lumen" is an Adriel Rollins design presented by Oceanco back in 2011, which the innovative finishing method will hopefully give new impetus.
