As with the Wider 150 currently under construction, Fulvio de Simoni designed the exterior and interior, while the shipyard's own engineering team optimised the hull lines. The hull of the nine-metre-wide displacement vessel has a bulbous bow and is made of aluminium in accordance with RINA regulations. A diesel-electric propulsion package supplied by the US company Emerson Industrial Automation, consisting of four generators with 350 kilowatts each, two electric Azipod units with 531 kilowatts each and a powerful battery bank (544 kilowatts), offers the captain the option of choosing between several propulsion modes. In zero-emission mode, batteries supply the engines with energy and allow a speed of five knots; if the four generators take over, speeds of up to 15 knots are possible. The stern of the Wider 165 has a floating garage for the Wider 32 tender and can be transformed into a huge beach club.
