Luiz De Basto took a hammerhead shark (bridge=head, mast=fin) as a model for the exterior of the 90-Oceanco-Metre and Valentina Zannier from Nuvolari Lenard also took her inspiration from nature for the interior.

The result of the first collaboration between Luiz De Basto and Oceanco was named "Best Yacht of the Year" in Cannes and honoured with the "Best Exterior Design" and "Finest New Yacht" awards in Monaco. The Dutch shipyard welded "DAR" according to LY3 for 14 guests and 31 crew members.

There are two VIP cabins and four double cabins as well as an owner's deck with terrace and pool above the bridge in 2926 gross tonnes of space. Aft, a five metre wide C-couch that can be rotated 360 degrees invites you to linger. On the main deck, the view sweeps out of 2.30 metre high windows, which merge into black panelling with perfect craftsmanship. This gives the impression that the window front extends over almost the entire deck.

The fact that "DAR" is as fast as a hammerhead shark at 20 knots is thanks to two 20-cylinder engines from MTU's 4000 series, each producing 3,540 kilowatts. The crew and guests each have access to a lift to get from the helipad to the sundeck or to the beach club, which is equipped with a submarine.

Incidentally, the yacht's name is made up of the first letters of the owner's children. And as another child was born during the construction phase, a drop shadow was added to the "A" in "DAR".
