Galeon Yachts presents the ninth unit of the 700 Sky with a completely redesigned interior. Hong Kong-based design studio InSitu has developed five different interior styles for the 21-metre Skydeck model. The yacht will be launched in June 2026 and set sail for Polish waters.

The Galeon 700 Sky is the flagship of the Polish manufacturer's Skydeck series. This line includes models between 14 and 21 metres in length. The Skydeck concept combines a low silhouette with a convertible sports flybridge deck. The ninth unit is the first to feature a completely redesigned interior by Hong Kong-based design studio InSitu, which is already working on other Galeon models.

Five furnishing styles to choose from

InSitu developed five different colour concepts with a Mediterranean character for the 700 Sky. The palettes have names such as Pearl, Amber and Ivory. Each variant combines fine wood for the cabinets with Italian leather for the upholstery and wall panelling. Selected textiles and ceramic surfaces are also used. Buyers can combine elements from different palettes. The owner of the ninth unit chose natural tones such as beige, earthy colours and cream. Gently curved panels and rounded edges emphasise the calm effect.

Flexible cabin layout below deck

The standard version offers a full-beam owner's cabin amidships. In the bow is a VIP cabin with its own shower room. In between are two further guest cabins. These can be configured as double cabins or with two single beds. For the current unit, the owner opted for a single cabin with a fold-out Pullman bed. This folds out of the side wall. When folded away, it conceals a fold-out desk or dressing table. Behind the stern, buyers can choose between a large storage space for a dinghy and water toys or a cabin for two crew members.

Drive and driving performance

The 700 Sky uses a weight-optimised construction method and a sophisticated hull design. In the most powerful configuration, two MAN V8-1200 diesel engines each produce 1200 hp (883 kW). According to the manufacturer, this enables the yacht to reach a top speed of 32 knots. The cruising speed is 23 knots. The ninth unit sails in Polish waters and has to withstand the conditions of the Baltic Sea.

Development towards larger models

Marta Sledziewska, Head of Marketing and Communication at Galeon Yachts, explains the company's strategy: "The market is pulling us towards larger boats with more luxury. We are actively expanding our model ranges in the upper segment. Our customers are demanding more space and higher quality interiors. They want to create a home-like atmosphere on the water. That's why we are working with InSitu, which is known for high-quality interior design." The new interior concept has already been used in the 520 Fly and 620 Fly models.

Ole Puls was born in Schleswig in 1999. He quickly swapped the football pitch for the Schlei and grew up sailing a wide variety of dinghies and tall ships. From his grandfather's self-built wooden opti and a Europe to a 49er and an X362 Sport, there was a lot to choose from. After leaving school, Puls decided to train as a boat builder at the high-tech shipyard Knierim Yachtbau in Kiel in 2016. He successfully completed his training in 2020 and stayed at the shipyard as a bachelor. In 2022, he decided not only to build boats, but also to test them. Since then, he has been working for Delius Klasing Verlag in the Test & Technology section of BOOTE magazine. The training he received and the eye for detail and quality of workmanship he acquired help him immensely today. Even though he is a regatta sailor with heart and soul, he feels right at home on motorboats and enjoys separating his professional and private lives and yet combining them. Because we all know one thing: there is simply no better place to be than on the water.
