Cantiere delle Marche launched "Audace", a voluminous explorer based on Floating Life's K platform. The new CdM flagship carries a Defender and has two nightclubs.

Its owner is Andrea Merloni, former CEO of Indesit. The Italian manufacturer of household appliances has been part of Whirlpool since 2014, after the Merloni family sold 60 per cent of the company's shares. The 51-year-old wants to use the 42-metre Explorer as a second home and for worldwide travel. To this end, Merloni worked with Floating Life CEO Andrea Pezzini and architect Mauro Sculli to create an exterior and interior with a volume of 490 gross tonnes for a complete owner's deck and storage space for his Defender, a BMW GS 1200 motorbike and two tenders. Not to be neglected was the party suitability and the associated desire for two discotheques. The chef prepares food for up to 250 people in the galley. Sculli compares the interior of the 9.40 metre wide yacht with that of a 60 metre format. With 62,000 litres of diesel in the bunker and travelling at ten knots, "Audace" covers 5400 nautical miles in one go.
