GL Yachtverglasung completed the installation work on the ninth deck of the 182-metre explorer. A total of 33 panes covering an area of 240 square metres were installed.

The pandemic is not stopping at even the biggest yacht projects. The 182.90 metre-long "REV Ocean" should have long since been at the Lloyd shipyard in Bremerhaven for outfitting, but Kjell Inge Røkke's research yacht is currently still in Norway - the effects of the spread of the virus are affecting supply chains in many places. Meanwhile, the supplier GL Yachtverglasung installed the last panes on deck nine of "REV Ocean". The largest format: the front pane for the observation lounge - weighing 4.5 tonnes and measuring 32 square metres. In total, the company from Halstenbek in Schleswig-Holstein glazed the research yacht over a total area of more than 2000 square metres.

Difficult assembly: the 11.20 metre long, curved windscreen for the "REV Ocean" observation lounge on deck nine is suspended from the crane. It weighs an impressive 4.5 tonnes. | n.Difficult assembly: the 11.20 metre long, curved windscreen for the "REV Ocean" observation lounge on deck nine is suspended from the crane.
