Such a bathing platform is actually something obligatory for the yacht connoisseur - a feature that is not normally given any special attention. Nevertheless, Peter Lürßen interrupts our tour here. "Just a moment, please," says the shipyard manager, speaking briefly with a deck hand and then pointing to the centre of the platform: "Attention, here we go."
Immediately, an automatic mechanism kicks in, causing a staircase to appear upside down from the deck covering, which drops around one metre into the depths with bubbling. "The speed," explains Lürßen, "is set so that the air can escape from the stairs in a controlled manner. It looks simple, but it was a real challenge for our engineers." The result, which is ready for use in less than a minute, is impressive. You would love to descend here with your swimming trunks and diving equipment - it couldn't be more comfortable.
"The yacht," explains designer Dan Lenard, who is accompanying us, "is full of such finesse. Together with our team, we have always strived to deliver a little more on these 86 metres than you would expect, even at this size."
