With "Vega", an unusual project from Falmouth in England has reached the harbour city of Bremerhaven. The 46 metre long and 55 year old Swedish icebreaker is to be converted into an explorer yacht under the direction of Dörries Maritime Services. "Vega" was actually due to set sail back in 2008, but was put on the chain due to unpaid bills and then spent its life in Penzance, Cornwall, as a "landmark" of the small harbour. The preliminary design for the yacht was created by Ken Freivokh and Stolk Marimecs.
