The French shipyard based in Concarneau, Brittany, launched the first catamaran from the new Long Island line.

JFA welded the hull of the 26.25-metre Long Island 85 from aluminium, while the superstructure is made of GRP. Marc Lombard, a yacht designer specialising in twin-hulls, was responsible for the lines and interior.

The owner's suite is located in front of the spacious saloon and offers direct access to the trampoline. The engine compartments each accommodate a 285-kilowatt Yanmar diesel, which pushes the 60-tonner through calms and into the harbour. The 38 metre high mast carries 370 square metres of canvas on the wind.
