The exterior of the voluminous steel/aluminium displacer was designed by J.C. Espinosa, while the interior was created by Hamburg designer Birgit Schnaase. The shipyard with halls in Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan built the four-decker in accordance with Bureau Veritas regulations and installed two MTU diesels, each with 1315 kilowatts of power for a top speed of 16 knots.
