SilverYachts emerged in 2014 from the Hanseatic Marine shipyard, which was founded by German entrepreneur Guido Krass in Western Australia in 2005. Krass is the founder and major shareholder of energy and building technology specialist Centrotec and the owner of "Bold" (issue 3-20). The shipyard founder developed the military-looking 85 metres together with Espen Øino. Construction number two from the Silver World Explorer series was launched in China. A bold move, as there was no owner for the "Globalfast" project at the time. However, Guido Krass presented his personal yacht at trade fairs around the world and offered it for sale in the Charter on. With success: at the end of April - the outfitting in Fremantle was already well advanced - an owner was found who cast off on the 85 metre long and 1561 gross tonne aluminium construction on 28 October at speeds of up to 23 knots.
The exterior of the "Bold" sister, which is also only eleven metres wide, is similarly monochrome, but has a matt black mast and a much lighter base colour. The layout of the aft deck has been adopted: Here, SilverYachts realised a commercial helipad with hangar and refuelling system and installed a crane that transports tenders weighing up to eight tonnes into the water.
SilverYachts is part of the Henderson Maritime Complex, which is located 23 kilometres south of Perth and is operated by the Western Australian local government. The €40 million floating dock was commissioned in 2010 and named Yargan. In the Noongar language, this means turtle. It can be used to launch ships weighing up to 12,000 tonnes. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced in March 2022 that he would invest almost three billion euros in the construction of a new dry dock.
