The 79-metre Harrison-Eidsgaard design travelled in a floating dock from Izmit to the Turquoise headquarters in Istanbul.

Turquoise Yachts transferred the 79-metre "Toro" project by floating dock from Kocaeli to its headquarters in Istanbul-Pendik. The outfitting, paintwork and interior fittings are being finalised here according to plans by the London office of Harrison Eidsgaard, which also supplied the exterior design. Following the launch, "Toro" will take over the flagship role of "Go" (77 metres) this year. Replacement follows hot on the heels: Turquoise Yachts has a total of five projects under construction, including the 87-metre "Vento", "Arrow" (76 m) and the 51-metre "Rainbow II", whose hull was laid down in the Netherlands and redesigned by Dykstra. Turquoise Yachts, formerly Proteksan Turquoise, gained a new majority owner at the end of 2014 in the person of Oceanco owner Dr Mohammed Al Barwani.

Next to the 79 metre "Toro" project is the "Jewels" (53 m), which is almost ready for delivery.Photo: Turquoise YachtsNext to the 79 metre "Toro" project is the "Jewels" (53 m), which is almost ready for delivery.
