Launching of Wider flagship | ff
The Italian Wider shipyard launched the 50-metre-long Wider 165 in Ancona.
Fulvio De Simoni designed "Cecilia's" lines, IdeaeITALIA was responsible for the interior. The voluminous three-decker (499 gross tonnes) was built in Ancona from aluminium and, like the Wider 150 "Genesi", which was launched two years ago, has a diesel-electric propulsion package consisting of a lithium-polymer battery bank with a capacity of 544 kWh and four generators. Two azimuth pods propel "Cecilia" at a maximum speed of 14 knots. At an economical ten-knot speed, the owner has a range of 5400 nautical miles.
