The Taiwanese shipyard Horizon Yachts is expanding its FD series (Fast Displacement) with a new model: the FD90, christened LiTHIUM+. This 27.75 metre motor yacht is already the second vessel for the same family of owners and is based on the previous LiTHIUM model. The name refers to the family's connection to the mining industry.
Cosy luxury on the main deck
The aft deck of the FD90 offers a spacious outdoor area with seating for eight people. Practical details such as an integrated shoe compartment on the port side and a double door refrigerator and ice cube maker on the starboard side complete the equipment.
Inside, the salon welcomes guests with a mixture of elegance and cosiness. A CNC-milled, curved lighting object provides an artistic accent. The furnishings combine bleached teak with warm white lacquered surfaces and herringbone oak floors. An 85-inch television forms the centrepiece of the room, flanked by a backlit display cabinet with unfinished lithium ore - a nod to the owners' family business. The open-plan kitchen at the rear of the lounge combines style and functionality. A Taj Mahal quartzite worktop, three bar stools and a full-height walk-in fridge provide convenience for everyday use. A drinks centre rounds off the equipment.
Comfortable cabins with sauna
The owner's cabin in the foredeck extends across the entire width of the ship of 7.11 metres. A king-size bed with wooden slatted headboard and quartzite insert as well as a swivelling 55-inch TV ensure comfort. The adjoining bathroom boasts a cypress wood sauna equipped with LED lighting for colour therapy.
There are four guest cabins on the lower deck: two mirror-image VIP suites amidships and two further VIP cabins in the forward area. All cabins have queen-size beds and 43-inch televisions. The forward VIP suite offers additional storage space thanks to an electrically adjustable bed frame.
Entertainment on all decks
The enclosed wheelhouse is furnished with three leather armchairs and an L-shaped sofa bed. Sliding doors lead to the open sky lounge area with height-adjustable table, U-shaped seating area and fully equipped bar. A round whirlpool in the centre of the deck invites you to relax. The aft deck has space for a tender and additional storage space. The foredeck offers an additional lounge and dining area with a sliding table.
Powerful drive
The FD90 LiTHIUM+ is powered by two Caterpillar C32B engines with 1,470 kW (2,000 hp) each. Two Onan generators with 40 kW each provide the power supply on board. The yacht has an overall length of 27.75 metres with a waterline length of 23.99 metres.
