The Overmarine Group launched the fourth unit of the Mangusta 165 REV in Viareggio on 21 February 2026. The 50-metre yacht combines four Rolls-Royce engines with 2,600 hp and Kamewa water jet propulsion to reach a top speed of 35 knots.

On 21 February 2026, the fourth unit of the Mangusta 165 REV was launched in Viareggio. The owner, his family and the entire Mangusta team were present at the ceremony. The composite yacht is the flagship of the Overmarine Group's Maxi Open line. Four Rolls-Royce engines, each with 2,600 hp, propel the 50-metre yacht to speeds of up to 35 knots via Kongsberg-Kamewa water jets. The system operates almost silently and vibration-free. By optimising the hull and propulsion, the REV series consumes around 30 percent less fuel than its predecessors. The composite construction demonstrates the shipyard's many years of experience in this field.

Design and room concept of the Mangusta

Lobanov Design developed the exterior lines together with Overmarine's technical department. The classic profile of the Mangusta Open yachts has been given a more dynamic and contemporary style. The spaces have been rearranged to create bright, airy interiors. Floor-to-ceiling glazing ensures a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor areas. The concept is characterised by a constant dialogue with the sea. In the saloon on the main deck, the floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and the balconies that fold out to the side enhance the feeling of space.

The master cabin on the main deck extends over 92 square metres and two levels. There are five guest cabins on the lower deck, including a VIP cabin spanning the full width of the ship. The interior design was created in collaboration between the shipyard design team and architect Marcello Pianosi from POM home. Every detail is designed to harmoniously combine elegance, functionality and customised solutions. As with all Mangusta yachts, the interiors are completely customised.

Outdoor areas and beach club

The bow offers a spacious lounge with sofas, sun loungers and a whirlpool. The sun deck has a bar and several living areas for socialising. The most striking feature is the large aft deck beach club, designed as a real lounge by the sea. The side-access garage accommodates a six-metre-long jet tender and two jet skis. The water sports equipment is easy to handle. This fourth unit of the Mangusta 165 REV will cruise the Mediterranean and is available for charter. Guests will experience the combination of comfort, impressive performance and strong design.

About the Overmarine Group:

The Overmarine Group was founded in 1985 by the Balducci family and stands for excellence in craftsmanship. The group owns all brand rights and production facilities in Tuscany. Its roots go back to the 1950s. Since then, the shipyard has continuously refined its craft in boatbuilding and has specialised in fast, 20 to 50-metre yachts made of composite material. From 2015, the group expanded its range to include displacement yachts made of steel and aluminium as well as semi-displacement yachts made entirely of aluminium. These models are 42 to 54 metres long and are suitable for comfortable ocean crossings. To date, 25 metal yachts have been delivered, joining the more than 320 units made of composite material. Of these, 150 units exceed the 100-foot mark. The three Mangusta lines Maxi Open REV, Oceano and GranSport each embody different ways of experiencing the sea. Founder Giuseppe Balducci brought his children Maurizio and Katia into the company in the 1990s. The third generation is now also working in the company. Info: Mangusta
