The Marex 390 is a new motorboat from the Norwegian manufacturer Marex, which is positioned as a spacious family cruiser. With a length of 12 metres and a width of 3.73 metres, the boat offers the perfect dimensions and sufficient space for longer trips with family or friends.
There is a choice of three engine variants for the drive: Two Volvo Penta D4-320 engines with 320 hp (235 kW) each, two Volvo Penta D6-380 with 380 hp (279 kW) each, each with sterndrives, or a single Volvo Penta D6 with 480 hp (353 kW) with shaft drive. The fuel capacity is 870 litres, which provides a good range for coastal journeys.
There are two cabins, each with a double bed, plus a bathroom. Cooking, living and travelling take place in the bright saloon. There are generous water tanks on board with a capacity of 590 litres and a 60-litre hot water boiler for the comfort of the passengers. A waste water tank with a capacity of 360 litres complies with the environmental regulations for pleasure craft. The Marex 390 has a folding mast that reduces the clearance height to 3.10 metres, making it easier to pass low bridges in inland areas. With the mast upright, the overall height of the boat is 4.18 metres.
With a draught of 1.03 metres, the Marex 390 is also suitable for inland navigation or shallower coastal waters. The total weight of 12.9 tonnes promises good stability at sea. CE category B certifies the boat's suitability for coastal sailing in wind forces of up to 8 Beaufort and wave heights of up to 4 metres.
Marex is a Norwegian boat builder based in Vettre near Oslo. The company was founded in 1973 and specialises in the manufacture of high-quality motor cruisers. Production takes place in Lithuania, while sales and service are managed from Norway.
