136 berths and 400 metres of pier exclusively for mega yachts of up to one hundred metres in length and the five-star "W" hotel within walking distance; the brand new "Marina Vela" in the Mediterranean metropolis of Barcelona has all this and much more to offer.
Equipped with a fully automated dry dock, this is the first robotically operated marina in Europe. The dock offers space for 222 boats of up to nine metres in length and a maximum weight of four tonnes. Thanks to its own repair service and a range of extras such as a VIP area, 24-hour surveillance, a manoeuvring assistant (24/7) and even its own garage, the Catalonian facility really lacks for nothing. A "harbour network" is also planned, formed with the ports of Botafoch/Ibiza, Formentara Mar and Puerto Portals/Mallorca, in order to offer commuting berth holders advantages in the respective other ports. The marina is currently still under construction, but will be completed in time for this year's high season.
