Dubai Harbour, the largest marina in the Middle East, will be built on 186,000 square metres in the coming years. The harbour owned by property developer Meraas will have 1,100 berths: The majority will accommodate formats up to 35 metres in length, but there will also be 45 berths for yachts over 50 metres and eight for yachts over 100 metres in length. In the first construction phase, 780 murings are to be completed by September 2020 and reservations will be accepted from this autumn.
Facilities include a yacht club, two helipads, a promenade with restaurants and shops and the 150 metre high Dubai Lighthouse as a landmark. A small airport for private jets is also being planned. The necessary expertise is being provided to developer Meraas by a joint venture with the experienced marina operator D-Marin.
