Washed with all waters: The new flagship from the Finnish shipyard Sargo is not easily intimidated. With the new model, the manufacturer is approaching the 15 metre mark for the first time.

There is a suitable vehicle for every terrain, on land and on water. The calmer the conditions, the more often the sun shines, the more open, lighter and more elegant it is. If, on the other hand, you prefer routes that lead into the wilderness, only the robust and functional are "chic". After all, what is all the beauty worth if you get stuck in the mud?

Boats in this second category have many friends, especially in northern Europe. This is hardly surprising, as the weather in Scandinavia is very different to the Mediterranean. Cold, precipitation and rough seas are always to be expected. In Kokkola, Finland, on the Bothnian Bay, which is often covered in ice in winter, Sargo Boats has been building cabin cruisers and motor yachts with this requirement profile for decades. Customers include law enforcement agencies and rescue services.

Bulwark of the Sargo 45 for safe navigation in heavy seas

It is a design with rough edges - in all the right places: All of the shipyard's now six models are characterised by a common appearance. The walkaround layout with a central box-shaped deckhouse is characteristic. This is complemented by the high freeboard and the closed bulwark with additional railing for a firm grip. For safe sailing in heavy seas, the bulwark is raised even higher towards the bow.

With the Sargo 45, this robust all-weather fleet now has a new flagship. This is the first time the shipyard has approached the 15 metre mark - and at this size, even for a thoroughly functional design, it is hardly possible not to offer an appealing level of comfort. This includes, for example, the two seating areas on the foredeck and, half-protected by the hardtop, aft in the cockpit. Inside, straight lines, the U-shaped upholstered bench around the saloon table (opposite the galley) and the large wraparound windows exude a Scandinavian cosy feel. In addition to the driver's seat to starboard, a co-driver's bench to port with three seats separated by armrests ensures an exceptionally high level of comfort and a clear view ahead.

If you are looking for the companionway, you will find it under the outer passenger seat, which can be folded up: unconventional, but space-saving. Depending on the owner's wishes, there are two double cabins (in the bow and amidships) or three at the lower end of the companionway. In the latter case, the additional space required is at the expense of the smaller bow cabin and the forward toilet and shower cubicles.

The 14.60 m long and 4.25 m wide GRP construction (CE category B) is motorised with twin engines from Volvo Penta. We recommend 2 x 440 hp or 2 x 480 hp (IPS 650). The cruising speed of the glider is specified at 30 knots.
