No sooner said than done: Fairline and Sunseeker fans must now be very brave. Princess epitomises "the best of British" in terms of production, craftsmanship, technology and design. At least that's what the yacht builder's Communications Manager claims. The new S65 aims to put these grand words into practice with exceptional design and equally exceptional handling characteristics. In fact, the conventional drive, which in the most powerful version delivers 2 x 1400 hp to the propellers, lives up to the promise of the designer's lines. In plain language: the two twelve-cylinder MAN engines accelerate the S65 to 38 kn when required. Many a sports boat can only see the "rear lights" or the large sunbed on the dinghy garage.
The smut, whose realm begins behind the sliding doors to the saloon, remains unemployed at this speed. Two steps further forward or up on the flybridge, you can enjoy the pleasure of cruising on comfortable driver's chairs and cosy sofas. One floor below, the owner's suite and VIP cabin with double beds show that the interior designer has also done a good job. Three separate bathrooms and two "youth rooms", in which you sleep separately, are standard. Info: www.princessyachts.com
