Bering's steel explorers now have the option of armouring the bridge and engine compartment. The partner is Trasco Bremen.

Bering Yachts underpins the range advantage of the already robust steel explorers with an additional security option. Owners who do not want to avoid pirate areas or simply want to play it safe can have their bridge converted into a citadel. The US brand, which has its own shipyard in Turkey, has teamed up with Trasco Bremen for this purpose. The Hanseatic city has been turning state cars, sports cars, SUVs, buses and lorries into special protection vehicles since 1983. As with the land operation, the maritime package of measures is not limited to the installation of armoured glass. The superstructures are also given structural reinforcements made of steel and composite materials. The engine compartment is also reinforced in order to be able to continue operating in the event of a hijacking. Bering Yachts is active in the 20 to 45 metre segment. On larger formats, it is good practice to take armed security personnel on board on critical passages. Or a martial appearance à la "Skat" or "Bold" is used as a deterrent.
