Its elongated lines with the low profile alone are enough to make the new SL 94 an eye-catcher when it heads for a marina. The narrow black window strip that dominates and stretches the main deck and runs around the stern gives the Sanlorenzo a masculine appearance. However, it does not appear macho, but on the contrary, quite elegant. She hints at power without exhibiting it as if on an open stage - especially here in the south of France, where the stars of beauty are close together.
With the 94, built in 2011, the shipyard presented its latest development after the SL104 from 2010. Both are part of the new series and share the sleek look of the exterior styling and the elongated cabin windows in the hull. Both models were designed by Francesco Paszkowski together with the Sanlorenzo design team. Paszkowski's group was led by his chief designer Michele Lubrano. Margherita Casprini, who has been working with the Paszkowski team for some time, was responsible for the decor and coordinated the interior.
The owner lives in the centre of gravity of the construction in a suite with a surprising layout. When entering to starboard, he curves round the wenge headboard of his bed and then looks aft. Margherita Casprini also designed the bathroom in an unusual way. "We started with it when developing the suite so that we could then be more flexible with the options for cupboards and storage space." It consists of a washroom on the port side, closed off by a door, and a toilet on the starboard side by the bulkhead to the engine room. The owner looks out onto a room divider behind which the shower is concealed.
And the outside areas? Owners can order a fixed hardtop for the flybridge, which provides shade for the outside steering position. The sundeck table for eight includes a barbecue and sunbathing areas for the digestif. With this in hand, it is easy to imagine what the Sanlorenzo SL118 will offer.
