Sealine C430: Its designer places great emphasis on robust construction, good resistance to rough water, modern design and a relaxed life on board

How many cabins can you fit on a 43-foot boat - two or three? The owner of the new Sealine C430 has to ask himself this question. The standard layout has an owner's cabin amidships and a VIP cabin in the bow. In the three-cabin version, the master cabin moves to the bow and two guest cabins are accommodated in the centre.

Socialising takes place in the saloon with its huge glass roof and floor-to-ceiling windows or in the two outdoor lounge areas. The saloon and cockpit can be transformed into a huge galley, because when you open the large rear doors, the galley is right in the centre.

In the age of digitalisation, it is hardly surprising that the shipyard relies on monitors, touchscreens and operation via tablets for its C430. For propulsion, Sealine relies exclusively on Volvo's IPS systems (IPS 400, 500 or 600), which guarantee safe manoeuvring and sailing and accelerate the yacht up to a maximum of 33 knots. Deputy Editor in Chief BOOTE

Ralf Marquard discovered his enthusiasm for boating on the tranquil Aller, first with inflatable boats and later with a 6-meter cabin cruiser. His electrical engineering studies at HAW Hamburg took him from the southern Heidekreis (Lower Saxony) to the Hanseatic city. Ralf Marquard has been working for the BOOTE editorial team since 1997, where he trained as a test editor. He tests both small inflatable boats and larger yachts. His personal boat is a 4.50 meter long, self-built wooden boat with a 50 hp outboard motor. In 2007, he was appointed deputy editor-in-chief at BOOTE.
