Test Sessa C38 | 38
Sessa is replacing its "bestseller C35", which it says has been built five hundred times to date, with the new C38, which has increased in length and width.

On the outside, the lines of the C38 have been retained, and below deck everything has remained the same apart from a few changes to the layout: Bow and centre cabins, separate WC/shower room, galley and dinette. Everything on deck also remains the same.

Due to an engine failure, we had two models at our disposal. We sailed one on the Mediterranean and the other on Lake Iseo.

As far as workmanship is concerned, we can say that the boatyard has not made any major mistakes apart from unsealed plastic cut edges, unfavourably positioned Tenax knobs and sharp-edged door handles.

Two engines with two Duo-prop-Z drives mean that the boat can also turn almost on the spot in the harbour. Turning circles of no more than one and a half boat lengths when travelling forwards and backwards give no cause for criticism. Acceptable delays when reversing with the gearbox in reverse make the test boat manoeuvrable.

The entire test can be found in the current BOOTE 11/11.
