The conversion took the shipyard from Harlingen in the Netherlands two years, with RWD providing design support. The southern English design studio is said to have given the interior a similarly martial look as the exterior.

According to calculations, the diesel-electric pod propulsion system enables a range of 6000 nautical miles, while a volume of 2450 grosstons offers space for two owner's suites and six double cabins. Five tenders between six and eight metres in length are parked on deck and in the hull, and an Airbus H145 lands on the certified helipad. The star of the toy ensemble is the Ripsaw EV2, the civilian version of a US Army light armoured vehicle. Charter guests can experience a week on "Ragnar" for 480,000 euros. The submersible is available for an extra charge.
