The “Nikitoo” project was launched following BOOT Düsseldorf 2024. At that time, a couple of sailors contacted the shipyard with the wish to continue their round-the-world voyages on a motor yacht in future. The spacious interior of the 21.45-metre-long Ocean Explorer 72 was just what they were looking for.
The design team subsequently developed an asymmetrical layout featuring just one side deck. This design has already been tried and tested on long-haul routes and, above all, creates valuable interior space on the main deck.
A tried-and-tested foundation
The 67 is based on the platform of Steeler Yachts’ Ocean Explorer series. Two MAN D2676 LE484 engines, each with an output of 290 kilowatts, power the steel-aluminium yacht. The design adheres to the standards the brand has already established with the larger models in the range, such as the 85.
Three guest cabins plus crew
Annemarie Dottinga and Pim Dijksman designed the interiors. They opted for walnut finishes and soft, natural textures. Warm, neutral colours are complemented by turquoise accents and copper-coloured light fittings. The yacht has three cabins and three bathrooms. There is also a separate crew cabin.
The Steeler Yachts 67 makes its debut in Cannes
Following its successful delivery, the Ocean Explorer 67 is gearing up for its world premiere. Visitors will be able to view the latest addition to the range at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival.
