The idea for the new Stratos came from yacht broker and yacht expert Bas Lengers. He wanted to build a boat that was not only seaworthy, but also a yacht with a very special look.
The result is the equivalent of an all-terrain vehicle on the water, travelling with ease even in the most difficult weather conditions and reaching a speed of 36 knots, according to the press release. Bas Lengers describes the DB50 project as:
I felt that the 50-foot category needed a robust, hardwearing vessel that was truly seaworthy and built to superyacht standards."
The CE category A-certified Dutch Built 50 is powered by Volvo Pentas IPS drives. The shipyard specifies a range of 400 to 450 nautical miles. The yacht is built from ultra-dense composite materials. Future owners can put together their ideal boat using an online configurator.
Spacious sun loungers and an outdoor dining area provide for outdoor enjoyment. For travelling, the luxurious day boat offers a double berth and the option of adding two further berths. The European premiere celebrates the DB50 at boot Düsseldorf 2024.
