Camper & Nicholsons welcomes "Octopus" to its management and charter portfolio - providing indirect confirmation of the sale of the 126-metre-long icon, which Lürssen delivered to Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in 2003. A year after his death in October 2018, "Octopus" was offered by two major brokerage houses, but they did not comment on the deal. Fraser seller Stuart Larsen listed the ice-class explorer among the yachts sold on his personal website. The price fell by 60 million to 235 million euros. The seven-decker was designed by Espen Øino, who included a cinema, gym, spa, recording studio, basketball court and an observation lounge with a glass floor in the GA plan. Tenders and submarines moor in the dock and the hangar can accommodate two helicopters. The new "Octopus" owner is sending his ship and the up to 63 crew members on a two-year voyage around the world, which 26 charter guests can take part in at a time.
